The Emerald Green Arborvitae is one of todays best selling pyramidal arbs. This evergreen has shimmering emerald green foliage with a tight and erect shape. This selection is cold hardy down to 40 degrees below zero and keeps a nice color through winter. The Emerald Green Arborvitae also has very good heat tolerance and is adaptable to many soil types. This arborvitae has many uses, but is generally used as a property border, living fence or privacy screen. Plant in an area protected from wind in colder areas to prevent winter burn.

Deeply water newly planted Arborvitae to help the roots anchor and stay healthy. Adding mulch around the base of your planting will reduce plant stress and retain soil moisture. You shouldn’t need to fertilize your tree, but you can do so before new growth pushes in spring.
