Buddleia x 'Pugster Blue'
Butterfly Bush - Pugster® Blue
The Pugster® Blue featuresa whole new look for butterfly bush. This compact plant reaches just 2 feet tall and wide, but has the large, full flowers normally seen on a much larger plant. This perennial blooms non-stop from early summer through frost with fragrant true-blue flowers. Each blue flower contains a tiny yellow-orange eye in the center, and blooms do not need deadheading! Thanks to thick, sturdy stems, the Pugster® series offers vastly improved hardiness and winter survival over other types of dwarf butterfly bush. This Proven Winners® butterfly bush attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds, but is deer and rabbit resistant.

Care Tips
Care Tips - Growing:
Plant in full sun for best flowering. Deadheading not required for continuous bloom. In clay soils, plant a bit higher than ground level to divert moisture away from the center of the plant.
Care Tips - Pruning:
Prune only after new growth emerges in spring. Cut back to just above a set of large, healthy buds.
Care Tips - Soil:
Good drainage is essential. The combination of wet soil and cold temperatures is particularly detrimental.
Care Tips - Uses:
Mixed borders and perennial gardens, as well as butterfly and humminbird gardens. It can be incorporated into foundation plantings, but is best combined with other plants to ensure interest in winter and spring.
