Birch - Dakota Pinnacle®
The Dakota Pinacle® Birch tree is know for its narrow columnar growth form. Developed by North Dakota State University, this birch tree is cold hardy, and drought/wind tolerant once established. Its dark green leaves turn a golden yellow in autumn, putting on a beautiful show that lasts longer than many trees. The bark from this birch is white and smooth, and will exfoliate a bit as it grows older.
This highly adaptable tree will grow in a wide variety of soil and mositure conditions, and is tolerant of heavy air pollution. Deer resistant.
