Care Tips
Care Tips - Growing:
Maintain a good mulch ring keeps the soil cool for the roots to establish. Water well going into winter. Avoid excessive fertilization. Balsam fir trees enjoy cool weather and do not handle heat and humidity well.
Care Tips - Pruning:
Shear or shape as needed. Christmas tree basics of shaping are relatively the same. Proper and timely shearing or clipping of branches stimulates new buds to form, puts additional growth on the remaining desirable branches and, in general, controls the foliage and shape so that a more dense tree results. Timing of pruning will best be stimulated if shearing is done when new growth is beginning to firm up.
Care Tips - Soil:
Loamy, sandy, moist but well-drained. Acidic soil pH

Specimen, Christmas tree, Screening
