Clematis Sweet Summer Love

$22.95

Everyone is enchanted by Clematis! ‘Sweet Summer Love’ is a vigorous vine with purple and violet flowers bursting with fragrance. This disease resistant, non-invasive variety blooms a month or more earlier than Sweet Autumn Clematis. A lovely vertical addition to perennial beds, mixed borders, containers, or trellises. Prune back to about 2’ each spring, as ‘Sweet Summer Love’ flowers on new wood. For proper site selection, apply the adage, “Feet in the shade, head in the sun”. Keep roots cool and shaded with mulch, companion plants, or a rock. Cool, moist but well-drained soil is a must. Sun/part shade.

May be trimmed in early summer.

Care Tips - Soil:

The right soil is key to success with clematis. It must be cool, and well-drained but moist.

Care Tips - Uses:
