Thuja occidentalis 'Hetz's Wintergreen'
Arborvitae - Wintergreen
Hetz's Wintergreen arborvitae is a rapidly growing evergreen shrub that can grow over 2 feet per year when established. Hetz's Wintergreen is adaptable to a wide range of growing conditions. It is not particular to soil type or pH. Somewhat shade tolerant but prefers full to part sun. Wintergreen keeps its nice dark green color all year and is not susceptible to winter burn, a nice alternative to American Arborvitae. Very low maintenance with fragrant foliage that can be used in holiday arrangements.
