Pinus sylvestris 'French Dark Green'
Pine - Scotch - French Dark Green
Scotch Pine is a beautiful evergreen with blue-green needles and attractive orange-red bark. The French Dark Green variety is shaped like an irregular pyramid when young. Its branches will open up and spread as it matures to further reveal the stunning orange-red trunk and branches. Scotch Pine are commonly used as Christmas trees, and are equally at home in your landscape as a specimen or in mass plantings. Be sure to include this tree as part of a windbreak or privacy screen for added beauty and diversification.
This pine is adaptable to nearly all soil types, is largely disease and pest free, and is cold hardy to Zone 3. Once established, this tree is drought tolerant. Due to its shorter 2"-2.25" needles, the Scotch Pine is naturally deer resistant!
Our plants come with extra large and fibrous root systems, ready to plant and flourish!
